US Defense Department split on how much to aid Israel - Semafor

Two top leaders at the US Pentagon have differing views on how much the US military should back Israel as it trades blows with Iran, Semafor reported citing sources familiar with their thinking.

US Central Command chief General Michael Kurilla has sought more resources to back Israel and its defense, Semafor cited the sources as saying.

The stance, they added is being resisted by undersecretary of defense for policy Elbridge Colby, who has opposed redeploying forces from Asia.

Iranian fire kills three women in Israel's Galilee region, medics say

Three women were killed in an Iranian attack on Israel's Western Galilee region, paramedics service Magen David Adom reported.

"EMTs and paramedics operated under heavy destruction in a three-storey building, where two women were rescued without signs of life, and their deaths were pronounced at the scene," it said in a statement.

"Another woman in critical condition was extracted from the building and evacuated in a private ambulance while undergoing resuscitation efforts."

Tehran accuses Israel of killing Iranians 'in cold blood'
