Iran summons state news agency's chief over photos of unveiled woman

Iran’s judiciary summoned the managing editor of state news agency IRNA after it published a photo report of a woman without hijab who had taken temporary custody of an infant, saying the images violated “law and sharia.”

IRNA quickly removed the entire photo gallery from all its platforms after it sparked backlash among supporters of the Islamic Republic.
