IDF says it killed Quds Force engineer tied to Hezbollah tunnel projects
The Israeli military said it had killed Mahdi Vafaei, whom it identified as head of the engineering branch of the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps, in Mahallat in Iran’s Markazi province.
According to the IDF, Vafaei advanced underground projects across Lebanon and Syria and helped establish and manage underground infrastructure for Hezbollah and the Assad government.
