Three airstrikes target Iran-backed militia sites in Iraq
Hashd al-Shaabi said three airstrikes hit its positions in Iraq’s Nineveh province, as attacks on the Iran-backed militia group have intensified over the past week.
The group said earlier this week that Saad Dawai al-Beiji, commander of its units in Anbar province, was killed along with 14 other members in an airstrike on one of its bases in western Iraq, and blamed the United States for the attack.
