Global energy watchdog urges remote work, travel cuts to curb oil prices

The International Energy Agency (IEA) outlined steps to ease pressure on oil prices following Middle East supply disruptions, urging remote work where possible, reduced air travel, greater use of public transport and lower highway speed limits.
The agency said on Friday that working from home could help cut fuel demand, while recommending people avoid flying if alternative options are available. It also called for encouraging public transport use and proposed reducing highway speed limits by at least 10 km/h to lower consumption and stabilize energy markets.
