Iran names former defense minister Dehghan as top security official

Former Iranian defense minister Hossein Dehghan has been appointed as the new secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, replacing Ali Larijani, according to Iranian media.

Dehghan is a senior military figure and former commander in the Revolutionary Guards.
