Iranian lawmaker says US violations have rendered MoU invalid
Iranian lawmaker Behnam Saeedi, a member of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said on Tuesday the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington had lost its credibility, accusing the US of repeatedly violating the ceasefire and provisions of the agreement.
Speaking to Iran’s state television, Saeedi said Iran was the only country with decision-making authority over the Strait of Hormuz, adding that Tehran had said any passage through the waterway must be coordinated with Iran.
