US says Iran could access $300B fund provided by its Arab neighbors

Jun 15, 2026, 18:42 GMT+1

US vice president JD Vance said in an interview with CBS Mornings that Washington was open to Persian Gulf countries investing in Iran’s reconstruction if Tehran ends its nuclear program and accepts inspections.Asked whether Iran could gain access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund, Vance said: "That is the sort of thing they could have access to, funded by the Gulf Coast Coalition, so long as they honor their end of the obligation.""We absolutely are open to the Gulf Coast countries investing in the reconstruction of Iran, but only if Iran ends their nuclear program, ends their enriched stockpile of material, and is really open to an inspections and enforcement regime that gives the American people confidence they are never going to have a nuclear weapon," he added.
