Explosion heard near Iran's Sirik coast, cause unclear

An explosion heard near the coastal city of Sirik in southern Iran on Thursday, Iranian state media reported, adding that the cause and source of the blast remain unclear. Local reports said the sound was heard in the maritime area off Sirik.
