State media report more explosions in southern Iran

Several consecutive explosions were heard in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, according to Iranian state media.

Separately, Mehr News Agency, citing local sources, reported another explosion in the nearby city of Sirik.

No immediate details were available on the cause of the explosions or any casualties and damage.

UN envoy in Washington amid US-Iran talks

The UN secretary-general's personal envoy for the Middle East conflict, Jean Arnault, is in Washington for talks with US officials and other stakeholders as efforts continue to secure a broader agreement between Tehran and Washington.

UN spokesperson Farhan Haq said Arnault's visit is part of his "ongoing consultations," including discussions related to Pakistani-mediated negotiations between the United States and Iran.

Arnault is also working to support "regional efforts to advance relations grounded in full respect for national sovereignty and mutual security," Haq said.

White House sees Iran deal close despite strikes - Politico

President Donald Trump still believes a peace agreement with Iran is within reach despite Tuesday's US retaliatory strikes on Iranian targets, a senior White House official told Politico.

"Nothing changes where the deal stands right now," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive national security matters.

The official added that a deal with Tehran remains "still close."

US strike hits water infrastructure in Sirik, state media says

Iranian state media said no commercial port facilities on Qeshm Island were hit in the latest US strikes.

State media also reported that two water storage tanks in the Bamani district of Sirik were struck during Tuesday night's attack, disrupting drinking water supplies to the area.

"In the enemy's attack on Sirik tonight, two water tanks in the Bamani district were hit and drinking water has been cut off," the report said.

Araghchi to US: leave the region if you want to be safe

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the United States that any attack or threat against Iran would be met with a response, following reported US strikes on Iranian military targets.

"Despite its defeats on the battlefield, the US opted to test our determination," Araghchi wrote on X. "Our Powerful Armed Forces will leave no attack or threat unanswered."

He also issued a warning to US forces in the region, saying: "Leave our region if you want to be safe."

Araghchi added that the history of the Persian Gulf contains "many chapters on the dire fates of intruding outsiders."

IRGC-linked media claims drones en route to targets over Iraq

IRGC-linked Fars News released a video on its Telegram channel that it said showed drones flying over Iraq toward their intended targets.

"UAVs are in the skies over Iraq heading toward their targets," the agency said.

Fars did not specify the type of drones, their launch point, or the targets they were allegedly heading toward.
