Iran army official says US would lose war with Iran

A senior Iranian army commander warned on Thursday the United States would be defeated in war with Iran because of the armed forces’ resistance and public support, state media reported.

Habibollah Sayyari, the army’s chief of staff and deputy coordinator, said during a visit to Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization that the US “will be defeated, with all its hollow defensive equipment and capabilities, and this will go down in history.”
