Tehran, Cairo discuss Pakistan-mediated Iran-US diplomacy

Iranian media report that the foreign ministers of Iran and Egypt held a phone call on Sunday to discuss the latest regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts between Tehran and Washington mediated by Pakistan.

The talks come amid mounting uncertainty over ceasefire diplomacy after Donald Trump rejected Iran’s latest response to a US proposal as “totally unacceptable.”
