Iran internet shutdown leaves professors queuing for access

“The A-10 is able to deliver close air support when and where it is needed most,” CENTCOM said in a post on X.

Seven OPEC+ countries agreed to implement a production adjustment of 188,000 barrels per day in June, OPEC said on Sunday.

Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman reaffirmed their commitment to supporting oil market stability, OPEC said.

The countries will continue to monitor market conditions and are set to meet again on June 7.

The head of Iran’s online businesses association said on Sunday that internet policy had no clear authority, leaving the digital economy unsure which body to negotiate with.

Reza Olfatnasab said some online businesses had seen sales drop by 40% to 50%, while others had sales near zero.

He also cited layoffs of up to 60% and dissatisfaction among businesses over tiered internet access.

Mehrab Abdollahzadeh, a Kurdish protester from the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, was executed after a deeply unfair trial based on forced confessions obtained under torture, Iran Human Rights said on Sunday.

The Norway-based rights group warned that similar executions of political prisoners could continue in the future.

“An immediate halt to all executions and the suspension of the death penalty must be a central condition in any negotiations with the Islamic Republic,” it added.
