Lawmaker says nuclear file closed, sets new negotiation terms

May 1, 2026, 08:52 GMT+1

A lawmaker said Iran considers its nuclear file closed and non-negotiable, adding authorities will pursue talks only on war reparations and Hormuz transit if sanctions are lifted.

“We will bring the United States to the table from a position of strength,” Ali Khezrian said, warning regional states could face escalatory responses if they reject cooperation.
