Iran blocked from $5bn in oil revenue amid pressure campaign - Axios
The Pentagon says Iran been denied nearly $5 billion in oil revenue as a result of a blockade in the Gulf of Oman, according to Axios on Friday, as Washington intensifies pressure on Tehran amid stalled diplomatic efforts.
Officials say 31 tankers carrying an estimated 53 million barrels of Iranian oil are currently “stuck in the Gulf,” with a combined value of at least $4.8 billion. Two vessels have reportedly been seized by US forces, the report said.
