US cannot escort ships through Hormuz now, may do so by month’s end - energy secretary

The United States cannot currently escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on Thursday.

Wright told CNBC it was “quite likely” the US Navy could begin escorting vessels through the strait by the end of the month.
