Iran has prepared itself for a long war unlike the US, Larijani says
Senior Iranian official Ali Larijani said Iran has prepared for a long war and is acting only in self-defense in the current conflict with the United States.
In a post on X, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said Iran did not start the war and that its armed forces had engaged only in defensive action. He said Iran would defend itself “regardless of the costs” and would make its enemies regret what he called a miscalculation.
