Israel doesn't care about ceasefire - Lebanese PM

Israeli military has issued a statement acknowledging that they hit residential blocks in their attempt to destroy Hezbollah headquarters.

"Hezbollah's central headquarters was intentionally built under residential buildings in the heart of the Dahieh, in Beirut, as part of Hezbollah's strategy of using Lebanese people as human shields," the statement reads.

The attack happened shortly after Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly.

Israeli air strikes on Beirut turned four buildings into rubble, according to Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV, which added that more than 15 missiles struck the area at the same moment.

Al Arabiya and Fox News say the target of Israel's airstrike on Hezbollah's central headquarters was Hassan Nasrallah. However, Al Arabiya's report says the operation "failed".

The Israeli military says it conducted a precise strike on the Central Headquarters of the Hezbollah, embedded under residential buildings in the heart of the Dahieh in Beirut. Israeli media say the target was Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
