Parts of a historic Safavid bridge in Karaj were destroyed during reconstruction

Sada-e Azadi news agency reported that the financial disputes between the cultural heritage and the contractor, along with the non-fulfillment of the obligations of the municipality and the governorate, have caused the destruction of parts of the historic Khatun Bridge in Karaj. According to the report, the roof of the main arch of the bridge was completely destroyed when the candles were moved. This bridge belongs to the Safavid era
