Human Rights Defenders Association: We reject the recent positions of Mawlawi Abdul Hamid and take back his award

Rejecting the recent stances of Mawlawi Abdul Hamid, the Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan, the Human Rights Defenders Association announced that it was withdrawing the Human Rights Award awarded to him in 1993. The center said Maulvi Abdul Hamid's recent views "especially on the Taliban terrorist group" were contrary to human rights standards.
