Armed men approach tanker off Yemen, boarding attempt thwarted

A tanker evaded a suspected boarding attempt by five armed men in a skiff about 50 nautical miles southeast of Al-Shihr, Yemen, on Sunday, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

The vessel altered course and carried out evasive manoeuvres before resuming its voyage. The ship and crew were reported safe as authorities investigate the incident.
