US warns Oman over Strait of Hormuz toll system
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned Oman that Washington would “aggressively” target any actors involved in facilitating tolls for the Strait of Hormuz, saying partners supporting such a system would face penalties.
In a post on X on Thursday, Bessent said the United States would act against any companies or governments involved in efforts to impose tolls in the strategic waterway.
