Iran praises Spain’s ‘principled and honorable’ position

Iran's foreign minister praised Spain’s “principled and honorable” position opposing US and Israeli military action against Iran during a phone call with his Spanish counterpart José Manuel Albares, Iran’s foreign ministry said in a statement.

Abbas Araghchi said Iran has responded positively to mediation efforts aimed at establishing a ceasefire and ending the war in the Middle East, but added, “the realization of this requires the United States to fulfill its commitments to stop the war and the Israeli regime’s escalation in Lebanon.”
