Iran foreign minister says country stable despite sanctions, war pressure

Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said conditions in the country remain stable despite sanctions and economic weaknesses.

“The situation in Iran overall is good, although there are problems due to sanctions and economic shortcomings,” Araghchi said in remarks aired by Al-Manar on Friday.

The United States and Israel, he said, sought during a 12-day war to replicate in Iran what he described as their approach in Venezuela but failed to do so.
