Trump says it's possible US could get involved in Iran-Israel war

At least 14 Iranian nuclear scientists have been killed in Israeli attacks since Friday, including in car bombs, Reuters reported citing two sources in the Persian Gulf on Sunday.

US President Donald Trump said peace between Israel and Iran “will happen soon,” adding that “many calls and meetings (are) now taking place.”

“Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal,” he said in a post on Truth Social.

The Russian Embassy in Tehran is working to evacuate Russian nationals from Iran over land borders, RIA news agency reported citing the embassy.

Israeli media report that the government has officially extended the nationwide state of emergency through June 30.

The Israeli military says missiles have been launched from Iran toward Israel, triggering air raid sirens across the country.

"Sirens sounding across all of Israel as another missile barrage is launched from Iran," Israel Defense Forces said in a post on X.
