Tehran prosecutor files charges over ‘False Reports’ on port explosion

Tehran’s prosecutor has filed charges against several media outlets and online activists accused of spreading false information about the Rajaei port explosion, the judiciary's Mizan news agency reported on Sunday.

Authorities said some media and individuals from across the political spectrum "distorted public security by publishing false and fabricated claims."

Legal cases have been opened and formal warnings issued to others, Mizan wrote.
