The Taliban have banned beards

In a notification to all hairdressers and baths in Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province, the head of the Taliban's Commission for Promoting the Good and Prohibiting the Evil of the Taliban, the provincial capital, strictly ordered that beard trimming be prohibited from Sunday (October 25).
