European Union: Engaging the Taliban in support of the Afghan people does not mean recognizing them

EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell said the bloc would expand its engagement with the Taliban on "strict terms" on issues such as sending humanitarian aid and helping people leave Afghanistan, but that did not mean recognizing them.
