The United Nations has begun sending humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's spokesman Stephen Dujarric has said that humanitarian aid to Afghanistan has resumed. The aid will be transferred from Islamabad to Mazar-e-Sharif and Kandahar, he said. So far, three UN planes have arrived in Mazar-e-Sharif and aid to Kabul is on the agenda.
