More than 700 independent film critics and activists wrote in a statement in support of protests in Khuzestan and elsewhere in Iran: "Hopes have been buried under military boots, bombs and bullets. Enough is enough bloodshed, looting, corruption and painful riots."

The Islamic fascist regime can only be overthrown by a democratic revolution. "Use the tactics of surprise demonstrations to spread the fire of the revolution."
More than 470 political activists, in a statement referring to the Islamic Republic's plan to kidnap Christ, called the consolation and indecision of the appeasing governments complicit in the regime's crimes and called on all governments and international institutions to protect the lives and security of citizens and refugees fleeing Iran.
