Iran central bank chief says reserves rose by $4.5 billion

Iran has added $4.5 billion to the central bank’s foreign currency reserves despite the country’s current conditions, Central Bank Governor Nasser Hemmati said.

He added that war-related pressures and sanctions had combined to create serious problems for Iran’s economy.
