Iran judiciary defends seizure of US-linked tankers

Iran’s judiciary defended the seizure of US-linked tankers on Thursday, saying it was based on domestic and international law and followed rulings by Iran’s courts.

Judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir accused Washington of “maritime piracy” against Iranian ships.
