Iran's Revolutionary Guard confirms senior military official's death
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Saturday confirmed the killing of Abolqasem Babaiyan, describing him as the special inspector at the office of the chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces.
The confirmation comes a week after the Israeli military announced that Babaiyan had been killed, saying he served as the head of Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters and as the military chief of staff of the leader of the Islamic Republic.
