Iran shipping association denies reports of halted sailings from regional hubs

Iran’s Shipping Association has denied reports that vessels are no longer departing from Jebel Ali – the UAE’s biggest container port – and other regional hubs for Iran, Tasnim news agency reported.

In a letter cited by Tasnim, the association said commercial shipping from all import origins to Iranian ports is continuing without disruption.

The denial followed the circulation of a letter attributed to the Industry, Mine and Trade Department in Iran’s southern Bushehr province that referred to ships not moving from import ports to Iran.
