Iran’s parliament approves tougher penalties for cooperation with ‘hostile governments’
Iran’s parliament on Tuesday passed a fast-tracked bill imposing harsher penalties on individuals accused of cooperating with foreign governments deemed hostile by Tehran, a lawmaker said.
The legislation was approved during a closed-door session, according to Alireza Salimi, a member of the parliament’s presidium. Lawmakers also debated a motion to prioritize regulations on drone usage.
