The General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces announced in a statement on Saturday that "enemy aircraft, using the space provided by the US military in Iraq and from a distance, launched several long-range air-launched missiles towards some border radars in the provinces of Ilam, Khuzestan, and around Tehran province."
The statement says the Israeli army aircraft "launched a number of long-range air-launched missiles, which have a very light warhead equivalent to about one-fifth of the warheads of Iranian ballistic missiles."
The General Staff of the Armed Forces added that the Israeli attacks resulted in "limited and minimal" damage due to the "timely performance of the country's air defense," and "several radar systems were damaged, some of which were immediately repaired, while others are in the process of being repaired."
The statement emphasized the Islamic Republic's right to provide a "legal and legitimate response at the appropriate time," while also stressing the need for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.
