"Happy October" - IRGC-linked outlet taunts Israel over attack

Oct 1, 2024, 18:44 GMT+1

A news outlet affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps taunted Israel in the wake of an Iranian missile attack on Tuesday.

It referred to the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel nearly a year ago and noted that the Islamic Republic was now striking the Jewish state directly.

"The 7th of October was carried out by Iran's proxies, and the 1st of October is done by Iran itself. Happy October,” IRGC-affiliated Saberin News said in a post on Telegram.

"It should be noted that this operation was carried out with the approval of the Supreme National Security Council, the directive of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and the support and backing of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Ministry of Defense.
