Qassem Taghizadeh Khamesi, Deputy Minister of Energy: The past water year was the driest year of the last half century and the upcoming water year will be a difficult year for Iran. The amount of rainfall last year was 37% less than the long-term average and the volume of water in the country's reservoirs decreased by 30% compared to the previous year.
