Multiple explosions heard in southern Iran - state media

Several explosions were heard in Sirik County in southern Iran in the early hours of Wednesday, Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency reported, hours after the United States warned Tehran of consequences over recent ship attacks near the Strait of Hormuz.

Mehr said no official or regional military or law enforcement authority had confirmed or denied the nature of the sounds so far.
