White House denies report Trump discussed Kurdish forces entering Iran
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed as “false” reports that President Donald Trump had discussed a plan with Kurdish leaders to send forces into Iran, saying the conversation had instead focused on US military bases in the region.
Leavitt also defended the administration’s military campaign against Iran, calling Operation Epic Fury “a resounding success” and arguing the conflict could ultimately benefit global energy markets because the Islamic Republic would no longer be able to control the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
