Khamenei moved to secure location to prevent assassination, Iranian lawmaker says
Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was moved to a secure location at the start of the war with Israel to prevent an assassination attempt, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament said on Monday.
“After the assassination of senior military commanders by Israel, stricter security protocols were put in place for the country’s high-ranking figures, and the Supreme Leader was also moved to a secure location — and that is why the enemies were unable to assassinate him,” Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani told the Didban news website in Tehran.
