President Donald Trump is holding a meeting with the US National Security Council to assess developments in the ongoing war between Israel and the Islamic Republic, a White House official said.

An explosion struck Pirouzi Street around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a Tehran resident told Iran International .
The eyewitness, who shared video footage, said, “I think the target was one of the military bases located on this street.”
The Israeli military said its air force struck 12 Iranian missile storage and launch facilities overnight.
The army released footage showing Iranian preparations to fire ballistic missiles at Israel, followed by Israeli strikes on those positions.
One video depicts the targeting of an Iranian air defense system. The strikes are part of a broader campaign aimed at degrading Iran’s missile capabilities.
60 Israeli Air Force jets launched a major wave of strikes targeting Iranian missile launchers in the heart of Iran, Israeli military spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said Tuesday.
The offensive forced Iranian forces to retreat eastward, he added.
“They withdrew from western Iran, but we are coming after them,” Defrin said, adding that missile activity is now centered around Isfahan.

The United States military is preparing for the possibility that President Donald Trump decides to order the US Air Force to help refuel Israeli fighter jets as they carry out strikes over Iran, CNN reported citing two unnamed sources.
The report added that this potential scenario is one reason why more than 30 US aerial refueling tankers have been deployed to the region in recent days.
Sustained explosions have been reported by Iranian media over western Tehran late Monday, with air defenses activated across the capital.
Local outlets predicted that the Tuesday night barrage might be the most intense since the start of hostilities with Israel.
Anti-aircraft fire was observed in central and eastern districts, including Narmak and Lavizan.
