A volcanic eruption on the island of Lapalma, in the Canary Islands in Spain, buried some of the area's residents in lava. It is feared that the molten material will reach the shore and tens of thousands of residents will have to be evacuated. The last time a volcano erupted in Lapalma was half a century ago
