Iran ready to engage in fresh nuclear talks - Pezeshkian at UN

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian delivered his debut speech to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday amid escalation of tensions between Israel and Tehran-backed Hezbollah of Lebanon.

Pezeshkian said Iran is open to sit for talks with world powers for another deal on its nuclear program. He also said the Islamic Republic is not after war and stands ready for engagement with the world.

Iran's delegation is allowed to travel only within the area between their accommodation at the Millennium Hilton Hotel and the UN headquarters and the route to and from the airport, a security source told Iran International.

Pezeshkian said in an interview with CNN that Hezbollah by herself cannot stand against Israel which "is armed to the teeth and has access to weapon systems that are far superior to anything else."
