US President Donald Trump "has been very transparent about his desire for Iran to move into the normal order with countries, and has stated he continues to do what is necessary to make sure there is a peace in this region," the State Department spokesperson told reporters on Monday.
The Trump administration's message to the Iranian people is "that every country is in the hands of its own people," Tammy Bruce added.
