France’s defense minister said the country’s military intercepted several Iranian drones targeting Israel in the days leading up to this week’s ceasefire.
Speaking to parliament on Wednesday, Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu said fewer than 10 drones were intercepted “either by ground-based air defense systems or by Rafale fighter jets” during Iranian operations against Israel.
Lecornu added that Iran launched approximately 400 ballistic missiles and 1,000 drones during the 12-day conflict.
