China bans all digital currency transactions; Bitcoin fell 5.5 percent


China's central bank on Friday banned any transactions related to digital currencies. The decision led to a 5.5 percent drop in the value of bitcoin

From now on, providing digital exchange services to Chinese citizens will be considered "illegal financial activity," Bloomberg reported, citing the central bank's website.
