In an interview with Asr-e Andisheh, Guardian Council spokesman Tahan Nazif said that livelihood problems played a role in reducing turnout in the presidential election rather than disqualification.
Regarding the change in the election laws, he added that the Guardian Council, when disappointed with the parliament, approved the criteria for approving the candidates themselves.
